Mary Kay Wright

Director of Development


Mary Kay brings more than two decades of experience in nonprofit development and communications to her role at HDRF.  For the past 12 years, she served as Director of Development at the American Cancer Society, where she led the Distinguished Events department. In that role, she oversaw more than 100 events and helped raise over $35 million to support cancer research and patient programs. Prior to her work in philanthropy, Mary Kay spent 10 years with the National Hockey League in the Communications Department, focusing on community outreach and publicity. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Communications from Hunter College.

Mary Kay is passionate about giving back and making a meaningful impact. She is excited to bring her experience and dedication to HDRF and support its vital mission to advance research and awareness around mental health and depression.
