We are proud to announce that HDRF Depression Task Force Chair Dr. Eric Nestler, MD, PhD, will be honored for his Outstanding Career and Research Achievements by the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) at its annual meeting this month. (Read more here.)
Dr. Nestler is a world-leading expert on the biological basis of addiction and depression. He is a Professor of Neuroscience and Director of the Friedman Brain Institute at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Nestler will receive the Peter Seeburg Integrative Neuroscience Prize at the annual SfN meeting which is attended by tens of thousands of brain scientists.
Dr. Nestler is a leading light in the field, whose research into the brain circuits of depression can help millions of patients with serious neuropsychiatric disorders.
