Jack Nelson

Race Director


Jack has two decades of experience in fundraising, event management, and marketing at non-profit organizations and educational institutions. As Race Director, he is responsible for HDRF’s Race of Hope series, which draws thousands annually to raise funds for expanded research and awareness of the growing mental health crisis. His previous experience includes race participant and team management for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s signature NYC Run & Walk, one of the nation’s largest 5K’s. He is an accomplished marathon and half-marathon runner.

Jack has a dual degree in History and German from Saint Joseph’s University (PA) and a Master’s in Education from Hofstra University (NY). He is excited to support the vital mission of HDRF, sustaining new discoveries in the fight to end depression, anxiety, and related disorders.
